Nell has a transmission leak that has steadily been getting worse. I can't even leave the driveway without leaving a trail of wet red dots behind, and she leaves an embarrassing puddle wherever I park.
I've been trying to find a shop to address the issue... not just the transmission repair, but removing the transmission (which usually means removing the engine too). I don't want to do it myself this time, but the shop I have relied on for this work has closed. My other good mechanic references already have too much work, and can't fit me in.
I'd really like to start enjoying the car again. I'd particularly like to drive Route 66 to the CTCI regional convention in Flagstaff next May, so I definitely need to get the leak fixed!
